my only other thought is have someone who isnt a gamer read your rulebook. I launched 30 Seconds to Live on KS and as I had so many people read the rulebook for clarity and made a stunning omission. Gave it to my gf to proof read. She sets up the game and 2m in is confused.

i think so much of these issues can be addressed with certain basic things. player aid examples in a callout box vision icon guide glossary of terms table of contents visual presentation of all game pieces (I hate when it says "take the captains token" and then you have no idea what that is.

the booklet tells the player what their action is AND WHY. That part is crucial. So many games tell me HOW to play but never make it clear WHY I want to do a thing. Every character/the choices they make introduce a concept/explain an element of gameplay so all players learn from that players actions

I absolutely love how Distilled does it as they have a seperate booklet that addresses teaching the game. Not just learning the game, its meant for someone who has already read the rules (and hopefully played) to teach the game and it walks the players through a present round,

Turns out the Super Duper Mart sequence from a later episode were all filmed at an abandoned ShopRite in Staten Island. I was told that they had it walled off for three months and were filming an night almost every night for ten weeks.

Hell they were probably filming this scene at the time! Where the Ghoul is standing, hes about 30 yards from Kent St, Brooklyn. I found a google maps aerial picture and you can see the lot plain as day.

We could see it over the top of a wall of cargo containers. Filly is a dangerous place & in E2, the Ghoul, Wilzig, Lucy and maximus all get into a gunfight. In this scene right before shit gets real, you can see the nuka cola sign over his shoulder. Thats the same sign we saw from the street.

The town of Filly in #Fallout E2 was filmed on the lot of Steiner Studios in Brooklyn. Last May while heading into the city with a friend for free comci book day we're at a traffic light and my friend says "oh look a coca cola sign." I look and I see not a Coca Cola sign but a NUKA-cola sign.
