Guardians Our TV crew is very good, but Hamilton on the radio is a legend.

I'm scared not enough people misspent summers on Lake Erie to give this genius-level post the number of likes it deserves.

I honestly don't think I could afford that. I do have a 5lb bag of King Arthur Unbleached All Purpose Flour in my pantry... would that work?

Ok, with a better understanding of your fancy metric system 😉, and looking at pictures of what your media tab indicates is your ship, I'm going to guess 16 tonnes. This is still a wildly uninformed guess by someone who has no experience in any related field.

But I cannot conceptualize that much water as a volume, so I have no idea if that is feasible

56,000 litres? Going with 140 litres, per day, per person, in the UK. It seems the lighthouse is remotely operated and in a bird sanctuary, but maybe they want the equivalent of one person's water per day, in a year's supply of water plus a buffer month, so 400 days worth.

I’ve always loved the origin of the word amateur on this kind of note- it’s literally from the Latin word for love, someone who is doing the thing but not for money, just for love. Doing things for love is good.
