I’m very thankful for the NHS in the UK. I haven’t ever had to make a cost/benefit decision about any of my treatment. Free at the point of access is such a blessing to me. ❤️

Universal healthcare is always a winner. It’s far from perfect but beats the Fek out of the alternative.

Same here, but in Canada. Last week I went to a hospital emergency room with a suspected detached retina (it wasn’t but there was a small retinal tear). And though it was deemed not critical, two days later I was having laser surgery to fix the tear. All I paid for was the Uber there and back.
