This is a nuanced topic and the internet is terrible at that, but I think everyone is capable of commitment to growth of prosocial practices in ourselves & in our communities, even while we all have different abilities, limitations, growth trajectories, roles, &c. Disabled people often lead the way.

Here’s what I firmly believe about climate catastrophes: the answer is never to place blame or to shrug and say certain people need to “just move.” There is no place that isn’t going to need help in some kind of a catastrophe.

Political orgs, events, and leaders being perpetually inaccessible will be their downfall. They cannot do true and lasting liberatory work without disabled people and without commitment to disability justice. Your online work is real and important. It’s ableism that’s insufferable, not you.

I can relate. So many of my political spaces and the types of events I’d normally go to aren’t safe for me because people won’t wear an n95.
