Also mail voting is SO NICE. I've always lived in WA or OR that have it. I usually just turn it in at a ballot drop box to make sure it doesn't get lost in the mail or something and to save a stamp.

Also I have nothing to back this up but I think one of the reasons they stopped putting the gas cap behind the license plate was because it could be rendered unusable in a fender bender where it might not be on the side of the car. I would think charge port location would follow the same logic

I think they should at the very least mandate 120v outlets at all resident parking spaces. Then you could at least L1 charge, which for some people is enough for a commute. If you did the same for employee parking, I think most commutes could be covered by L1 or low amp L2 charging.

That's especially silly because adding wiring to new construction is the cheapest time to do it. Adding it after the fact is where it can sometimes be difficult and more expensive (but still almost never that expensive I think)

I think PHEVs make the most sense for trucks or other vehicles that need to tow sometimes. Towing full electric is doable but it sucks, and with the current infrastructure (most DCFC is pull-in parking) it SUPER sucks. Gas should be saved for long distance towing and enthusiasts.
