Yes, and part of it may be that after Biden dropped out Harris became the presumptive nominee in less time than the week or so we remained without a clear winner after election night 2020.

I think the average voter cared with Biden bc it fed into the larger competency issue. But without that in the background most folk probably aren’t interested in whether Harris is going to give a press conference they aren’t going to pay attention to anyway.
