As a large community of disabled people, including many young disabled people, we conclude that the rise in disability is entirely caused by the ongoing Covid pandemic and its direct effects. Remember, young people don't like being exposed to avoidable disease, it makes them rightly anxious.
Don't forget transcripts for video and audio. These will help blind users and low-vision users, deaf and hard-of-hearing users, people with ADHD, and people with audio-processing disorders. Transcripts also benefit search engines, people in quiet spaces, and people in a hurry.
One day someone will explain to me why a school has the resources to send out attendance officers, in pairs, to the home of a pupil isolating with Covid to try to intimidate parents into sending them in - but not to put in HEPA filters in classrooms so fewer pupils catch Covid and miss school.

No matter how much political spin is put on this, two things remain clear to me: 1. Work is the means and health is the goal, not the other way round. You work to be well not be well in order to work. 2. Benefit fraud by a minority is not a valid excuse to stigmatise and pressurise a majority.
Where they can? They’ve already been assessed by Doctors and DWP goons as unfit for work. What makes Starmer & co think any of that process is lying about capability to work?
