And there go the wet bulb processes! What was once a 15° dewpoint depression is now down to 4° in Norman. With air temps hovering around 28-29°F, ice accumulation is pretty much a sure thing at this point…
Happy New Year 2024 to all! Many thanks to everyone for their support throughout this rollercoaster of 2023. Let’s keep it going! ¡Un próspero 2024 y muchas cosas buenas para todos!
The holidays also wouldn’t be complete without one of these. IYKYK 😋
Some people enjoy the holidays for the gifts. I enjoy it for these. Poinsettias are my favorite plant, so I cherish them when they’re around this time of year.
One of those few occasions that Florida decides *not* to take the heat 😅
Thanks Bryan!
And this place has put up with me for 5 years?! Man, they’re committed! Seriously though, wow… 5 years to the date since joining CIWRO/OU and NOAA NSSL. Not many people can say they are working their dream job so that’s a privilege. It’s been a ride. The adventure continues!
Haha! Got the same thing yesterday at the lab 🙂
Hmm, I'd say more confidence in a semi-discrete storm mode vs. a full discrete storm mode at this moment (but not much to begin with). I think it might just depend on the timing of the mid-level trough entering the area and how far the warm front surges north through MS and LA.
