I wrote an article about why such discovery orders rejecting 1A right-of-association privilege claims (like NAACP) should be immediately appealable after Bonta. O’Connor’s opinion is based on both waiver and overcoming the privilege, so I don’t know how well an appeal would go.

I almost can't believe I'm typing this, but they should just refuse. Create a disaster that has to go up. Not that I think the 5th Cir. or even necessarily SCOTUS will save them, but make this a major issue.
