oh. my reading comprehension is boned. sorry about that, you're right
not felonies-- a silly masking law wouldn't do anything about that. i'm talking less important crimes like shoplifting or smaller petty thefts. there are some IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES between the similar law we have here in virginia, and i was UNAWARE of this. apologies
i'm not writing it off! i made an admittedly silly assumption and thought that this was nearly a carbon copy of virginia's law, which DOES occasionally prevent smaller gas-station level crimes, while also not impeding on those who want to mask for sanitary reasons.
it's just anecdotal evidence, man. i'm not saying it's reliable, i'm saying that a similar law works up here in virginia. i've been notified that there are important differences between that two that i was unaware of. VA's version of the law is totally ok with masks if they aren't worn for crime
alright, i might need to come back and read this again in the morning-- i'm sort of out of it right now, and i'm not really fully understanding. sorry
sorry, i missed this part-- give me a sec to read it
well yeah, there likely will be cases like that. employers tend to pull bullshit like that on their employees. i still think the law would be useful in preventing heavy crime, assuming it's like virginia's. preventing corrupt employers from firing someone is an issue for other legislation, imo
