*(2/13) oops, an edit feature would be swell haha
(2/3) Killer's Kiss (1955) A huge step up in directing skills. The plot was quite dull, but the creative visuals and tight screenplay made the experience enjoyable regardless. This time I could really tell the directors vision landed, all the more impressive considering the budget. 👍
(1/13) Fear and Desire (1952) Kubrick's debut, and truthfully, a very unpromising start. Falls into the same pitfalls every other indie movie this era had. Boring, pretentious, and very rough technically. However, the editing and audio choices sketch a clear path for his career in filmmaking. 👎
IMMA POST IT ALL SEPARATELY (since I don't know how much bluesky likes putting comments on feeds)
I'm gonna watch every single Stanley Kubrick movie in the order that they released. It'll be interesting watching his style evolve as well as the technological differences across 5 generations of filmmaking. I'm not gonna make this a thread since that's lame lol
Thought I'd post some Halloween art this weekend instead of Halloween, cus I learned it on a Tuesday XP It's of me and my lovely gf <3 Happy Halloween, candy hoarders!
I choose Violence sometimes
