Historians of medicine: can you recommend good scholarly literature on fellow Rheinländer and economic migrant Joseph Pilates from Mönchengladbach?

If anyone can recommend good literature and is not a historian of medicine, that would be welcome, too.

I can't quite place who, but think there was some work (and certainly a lot of local buzz) around Pilates and Knockaloe, the internment camp on the Isle of Man. Beyond Pilates, Knockaloe seems to have been a bit of a centre for different therapies (Quakers involved, oc)
