I use squarespace for hosting so can't help there but domain management I'm a big fan of Hover. Cheap prices, lots of TLD's, and WHOIS privacy included wherever possible

I’m a big fan of starting people on TNG with “Data’s Day” since it’s fairly standalone and high on the fun quotient. I normally hand-pick what I show them next based on their feedback of what worked for them and what didn’t
