Being negative about your work also tends to breed a lot of unintended competition and resentment toward your fellow artists. Itā€™s a pipeline I see a lot. A great way to break from it is to critique yourself proactively. ā€œIm going to work on my coloring for the next piece too! Itā€™ll get betterā€

Damn this might be my most popular post on this app! šŸ˜‚šŸ’™ā˜ļø If yā€™all like supporting fellow artists, as well as colorful and sometimes spooky artwork of the fantasy variety, consider giving me a follow! ā¤ļø

A beautiful person with white hair and pink eyes holding a sword and flowers. Intricate detail on stitching, similar to the style of traditional portraiture.
A humanoid dragon on a throne of marble surrounded by smoke and gold.
A character whose back is to us, scratches and tears along their back reveal a hard battle. Shadows spread out all around them and drip down. Very blue. Light blood.

Another good example is: ā€œIā€™m so jealous of how you do that thing! Itā€™s so nice! How do you pick them? Any tutorials you remember helped you?ā€

Oh gods. Ive not run across that as much personally, but I absolutely can see it happening. Ive also seen them be the folks who give intense crit, but actually canā€™t accept even gentle crit. Like they get mad when they ask for it and actually receive it.

Omg absolutely! The artists I see that have the worst attitudes toward other artists are usually those that also are really negative about their own work. The rough advice: ā€œdonā€™t be a miserable motherfucker to be around.ā€

The critique should also be after you notice the shit you did super good. I just ran out of characters. But proactive wording (even in your head) will eventually become habit and help your mood toward your own work and the works of others.

BG3 SPOILERS: Only issue with bloodweave is that a I genuinely think the ending the two of them would create is god-Gale and ascended Astarion. Idk how that factors into playthroughs thoā€¦. Can spawn gale turn god? (Cause Astarion asks folks to be his spawn) or does he not ask Gale cause the orb?

So I never finished my dark urge playthrough. Life just got in the way a bunchā€¦ But honestly Iā€™m kinda leaning toward doing a gale run instead? And Iā€™m a big blood weave fan >:]
