I think it would be good if Harris went to Asheville and connected what happened to climate change.
I have an obvious bias on this but people who live in states with climate-denying governments do not deserve to lose their homes in climate-driven disasters. This is even true of people who voted the wrong way.

The scope of Helene’s destruction isnt yet clear, but a thing I keep thinking about is how there aren’t any large screw ups or anything afaik; this isn’t Katrina. The warnings came in time and with appropriate urgency and fervor. People (more than usual) evacuated. This is just How It Is now.
