The main difference is there's no algorithm here so you have to seek out and drive interactions yourself :)
It's what you add to images so that screen readers can describe them :)
Ultimately I think part of it is fewer people, and part of it is how you post.
I bet if you asked what people favourite article on bugs was in the science feed you'd get a reasonable response.
You can then reply to those posts and kick off a conversation There is less two way interaction here, until you start it. Every time I post a question to a feed, for example, I get tonnes of engagement.
I find them quite food for that because they surface those people because they're posting regularly into that feed
