I obvi am not gonna get super into it on here but having a relatively low stakes customer support job turn into a defcon 1 SLA hell overnight after all the gears of a major acquisition finally start turning...sucks!!

Which is to say, it's extremely easy to just assume that oh during the old bad days everything was sexist and racist so there were no women or POC allowed to do anything so no point in investigating the era at all.
A moment I think about a lot was during a class on contemporary US literature the post war/beat era came up and someone started talking about how male dominated the era and etc, and our professor just started rattling off names of female writers of the time
A big issue with the way that progress is perceived and perpetuated is that people will just flatten the past into the bad times and current day as the good times where all problems have been solved, which more often than not erases a lot of people from the equation.

easily the most bountiful thing we have ever tried to grow by a significant margin. we had bags of leaves in our fridge for ages it was so damn funny.
