If you haven't seen it, The Daily Show did a bit on Duluth about this and kind of nailed it. It ended with an interviewee saying that the idea of a climate refuge is not helpful and actually dangerous. 🌊🧪

No. Many coastal communities are not viable for the length of a 30 year mortgage. Some neighborhoods in inland cities are also vulnerable. That means we should build denser housing on safer land in those cities. Not equate the risk between those cities and barrier islands.
Only the worst types of people will be able to afford to migrate, I'm sure of it.
