Don't like touching this particular stove, but if anybody thinks a Harris loss would be interpreted as "time for a Palestinian state," and not "Trump has a mandate to boot out the migrants" ... hm I think that's incorrect

To me the difference is simple. If Harris is elected, I have absolutely no doubt that we will get to pick again in four years. I cannot say the same for Trump.

This is true, but they’re going to interpret it however, they want regardless of what the truth is. That’s why I’m focusing on trying to build up a third-party candidate that I believe in. I’m done wasting my time with these two corrupt parties.

The problem is, a Harris victory will be interpreted as "see, no-one cares about these Oriental Savages being bombed in the middle-east, and the US public endorses the genocidal behaviour of the Israeli state" and that will make future acts of genocide more likely with US support

I'm among those who are appalled by the Biden-Harris Administration's inability/unwillingness to put any check on Israel, but the best-case scenario should Trump win would be the exact same policy. Given that, I'll hold my nose and vote D, but I wish the people actually had any impact to stop this.

Trump will ask petulantly WHY we can't use nukes.

Plus, the difference is that we can bully the hell out of the Harris administration to do what should have been done from the beginning. Trump? Trump we have absolutely no chance, because we'll be too busy trying to reverse the damage he's doing at home. We can't help Gaza by self flagellating.

utterly fascinated and horrified by people who somehow think Trump would be better for Palestine

Small differences in large systems of power make a big difference. A couple million people having cheaper insulin and inhalers is worth my vote. The rest is dealt with organizing.

I'm going to vote for Harris (in Kentucky, it does not matter a whit) for two concrete reasons: (1) she has made noises that she may take Cuba off the State Sponsors of Terror list, and (2) my wife is Haitian and fuck Trump and Vance on a deep and personal level. I don't have much hope for Gaza.
