Quite right. That is mind bogglingly stupid.

My worry here is the accuracy of the limits database and the connectivity to receive it. I don’t know what data Tesla uses, but the speed limit it shows me is wrong remarkably often. Some of that is due to misreading signs, but keeping the database up with construction projects is really hard.
