One thing they don't tell you about adult social care is that profit is so much more of a consideration for companies than price. If care needs change, and it reduces the profit, companies are very keen to just get people out rather than charge more. I've had this happen twice now

Been crying along to this testimony. Not only did we put people into the most unimaginably difficult situations. We then also left them feeling abandoned. And never gave them an opportunity to talk about this afterwards, to decompress and hear our gratitude (and also our anger and dismay). Abysmal.
