AI is a desperately mediocre confabulating plagiarism engine designed by tech bros with no talent, who are laying waste to the creative industries and artists livelihoods, and using planet-killing amounts of electricity and water to make the shittiest and most boring simulacrums of human expression.

It is 60 years since the first-ever IUCN Red List for Threatened Species 💪 The goal of the Red List was to provide scientifically based information on the status of species & subspecies. This page shows the 1964 status for the blue whale: 'Probably the most endangered of all the large whales.' 🐋🧪

The first ever IUCN red list book, open on a page showing the status of the blue whale in 1964: the population is believed to be between 650 and 1950. Probably the most endangered of all the large whales.

Yeah, in our garden. The roe deer are regular visitors and we've seen up to three at the same time.

We live across the street from the most famous #cemetery in Denmark: Assistens Kirkegård in Copenhagen (est. 1760). I love wandering through the tree-lined paths, admiring the art & symbolism on the tombstones and grave markers. Here's a thread with a few common motifs we saw on our walk today. 🏺

Gravestone depicting a woman in mourning, with her face in her hands.
