it does depend on what youre going to use it for, the Quest is a very good headset to get into if youre a beginner and it has the option to use it with a pc if you need it

Does depend on what style you wanna go for, 15k is a healthy amount of polygons to go for, allocate more polygons to the head, if you're wanting to go stylised that is. If you're wanting to go with hair cards then your poly count could double easily and becomes harder on the pc
