if winamp want people to contribute to it they should have a real open source license. the current one is sources, but you can't distribute any changes in your own version.
I still use Winamp, it's the only player that ever really clicked for me Just needs better library support and it'd be perfect
I thought the new owners hired a dev team a few years back.
