holding me back until quite some time after I left. I feel like every community I join and be apart of, even if it's only for a short time, I learn something new about myself and become a more well-rounded individual as a result. Pokewilds holding me back wasn't a fault of them. (2/5)

TLDR: USE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS MORE OFTEN. PROBABLY ALL THE TIME. ESPECIALLY ON THE INTERNET. Don't be overly gullible, and being overly cynical is just as bad but on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Thats just a specific example based on what I've been watching vids on today at work. But yeah. Just because u have some bad apples doesnt give u the excuse to never take anyones accounts seriously. I feel like this is a relatively universal concept that can be applied to many things, rly.

Actually addendum: its a similar concept to automatically not taking people of color srsly when they talk about their experiences, and things they and only they pick up on, just because one or two PoC ppl u knew of used the same reasons to excuse bad behavior. (*cough Kai Weiss/xzae cough*)

FOR CLARITY: this prolly doesn't apply to everything. In my specific case I am referring to words like "narcissist," "gaslighting," etc. Etc. Words that describe tactics of abuse and/or types of ppl more predisposed to being abusers. I haven't applied this to many other contexts, so
