Is Ryanair that bad? It's MOSTLY short flights. They nickel and dime you for every little thing short of oxygen, but it's mostly domestic and intracontinental hops.
Yeah it's a rough market generally all round, but for consumers especially. The alternative is sadly, more planes flying more often on more routes, which is probably worse, environmentally right?
I think it's more that these cheaper airlines only have larger planes for the long-haul flights and having smaller planes do shorter hops as connections is generally better. Smaller airlines' fleets aren't as huge as one might think...
