So essentially, I don’t “feel” gender, despite that biological component driving some of my behavior. I don’t feel like a man, a woman, I just feel like myself.

The biological component encompasses and perpetuates different existential modes: cis, trans, etc. The personality component is what it says on the box. For me personally, I don’t see gender in the expression of my personality. I’m just me. My behavior is influenced by the biological component.

Started replying to a question about how autistic people see gender, and realized I was wording things very poorly. Essentially to me, gender is made up of two things: a biological component (incorporating hormones, neurology and likely other biological facets), and one’s personality/expression.

There's a label that can be applied to your account named "rude" which is functionally useless and stupid and a good way to tone police people, and kind of supports the toxic civility from other corpo social media sites.
