I can't help but feel that you have to be pretty far gone to write and submit an acrostic poem to the Star that spells out FEARGUS O'CONNOR THE FRIEND OF THE POOR but you do you Mr. Lindsay
Always a moment of North Eastern pride whenever the small village of Winlaton crops up in Chartist history (as it does with impressive frequency). First as a centre for pike manufacture, second as having staged John Watkins's ultra-militant Newport Rising play. What is in the water in Winlaton?
