And the ad itself is a real sign of backsliding. In 2019 the word "innovation" would have at least signified industry CCS or algae research or something. Now just it means "efficient extraction of ever more fossil fuels." 😞 2/2

My personal favorite was McDonald’s coming out with an ad in the 90’s about them “saving the rainforest”. And because of that an investigation story came out a couple years later about how McDonald’s was SYSTEMATICALLY destroying the RAINFOREST! Lmao 🤣 They literally outed themselves*

This is the reason you can’t go To the beach with your kid even though our government is supposed to be taking care of citizens. Because we paid their salaries but the big oil pay them more.
