i suspect it is like elegant in a nerdy way but i couldn't tell you what the practical upside is. wait actually i think it is like impossible for them to sell ads the way e.g. twitter does i guess that's kind of nice.
they've said it's something they want to do (idk if literally "on the roadmap" or if there is such a thing). but iirc it'll require some basic changes in how the service works so it's not like around the corner.
