All good things. I still think individuals who are proponents of hate and religious sectarianism aren't lost causes, though, as I don't think any human should be considered as such. But I think we can both agree that actions should be taken so that their ability to harm others is severely diminished

Ultimately I am trying to avoid the duel trap of 1) calling for revenge against individuals who call for hate and 2) calling for tolerance of hateful actors. The only thing I can think of is removing the bad actor from public discourse and humanely trying to reform them.

Are you saying hate doesn't come from a place of deep emotional issues? That some individuals are just inherently evil and can't be helped?
