Our research centre, co-hosted by five Scottish universities, is now here on Bluesky: Please follow the Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research (SCCJR): @thesccjr.bsky.social#Criminology#Penology#Zemiology#AcademicSky
Once again, Dani Garavelli has articulated how a lot of women feel. Excoriating, brilliant truth-telling. 'No, not every man. But the men who aren't must vent fury at the monsters among you.' www.heraldscotland.com/politics/vie...
Brilliant! Thanks, John. Paging @andy8chi.bsky.social , there's a Crim feed (see above) we can follow, and helpful if we use those hashtags ourselves.
Hi there, this starter pack is more Crim and Criminal Justice (not so much Law), and it is UK-based and focused on those working in academia, but it might potentially help? My colleague Andy Aydin-Aitchison has made another broader one, too. More colleagues are arriving here... go.bsky.app/8sCM5VZ
And then there are feeds – the ultimate aim for our crimmunity! I am learning, too. Enjoying it. It's calmer here and has better engagement, even if the scale of notifications is smaller.
Ah, a list! – didn't know about this one, thanks. It's more like something I can follow to see people's posts/content, whereas a starter pack is just who to consider following (and can be shared outwith the platform to try to coax or invite people over)...
Feel free to let me know if I've missed any! This list is editable and link shareable. Hoping someone does a European Criminology starter pack, and same for other continents. It's still early days on here but mostly a good feel in the feed; people finding each other and following is nice to see...
Indeed, it's not yet that easy to find many Criminology colleagues on here (compared to the other place), so I found that going through various key people's following/follower lists has helped me to find more, which is good 😊 I'll add to it as we find more.
