By GPS position do you mean position on the surface of the Earth? That should be fine. Approximate pointing on the sky should be fine using its compass. Tweaking the pointing using plate solving is indeed the challenge. My guess is that London suburbs will be fine but maybe not Central London…

and likewise, for our SYTN pix we typically tweak intensity levels (I use Lyn on the Mac) but none of that Siril and Pixinsight stuff that our amateur astronomy chums love doing

These systems could well have had planetary systems for ages, but when the blown off gas streams past it wouldn’t be very nice for life on that planet!
