I did some more research on settings and I had my ISO way too high. I'll try again tonight if the sky is clear and see if it makes a difference.

It looks awesome. I'm assuming these were taken away from bright city or street lights which I can't really avoid without driving a bit north.

I've been told that you need special camera equipment to get accurate moon photos. As much as I'd love to invest in that 🙄 it's not happening any time soon...

Oh wow. I didn't get to see any of that down here. The moon looked really cool again last night and I tried a bunch of camera settings on both phones I have and this is the best I could do. IRL it looked like a cookie with some bites out of it instead of a smooth crescent.
