I know how much space apps take up, I see this information when I go through and find the most bloated ones to delete. No-one was talking about streaming apps, I have no idea what your point is now, and I've had enough of being talked to like a naive little child, so maybe let's end this here.
I think it has far less to do with this and far more to do with apps collecting data that's valuable to them. I don't think a car park operator actively wants me to replace my phone, I think they're doing what benefits them rather than what benefits Apple and Samsung.
