Steve was discharged from hospital with a rehabilitation package but no care support. Iā€™ve been a civil servant for nearly 30 years and I was not given a single day in special leave. I worked from home ft whilst caring for someone seriously ill and it broke me. Our attitude to care is appalling.

Women are expected to care for free; untrained and unsupported. Itā€™s because they are naturally inclined to want to shoulder this burden joyfully, for the good of society. (Insert your own ^sarcastrophes^)

"Ā£81.90 per week. This is supposed to cover 35 or more hours looking after her per week. Thatā€™s Ā£2.34 per hour, and 133 hours without reimbursement." It's little more than slave labour. It's criminal.

This graph is astonishing. The people that bang on about ā€œnatural birthā€ and ā€œwomen have been doing this forever without helpā€ need to be forced to stare at this until their eyes water.

Graph of maternal mortality rate against year for the UK. Rate bounces until and down around 500 deaths per 100,000 births until about 1940, when it falls sharply. Itā€™s been very low (~1ā€“3 per 100,000) ever since.

I had long hair at the time but that didnā€™t last. Waiting to see if the nits and vomits travelled around the family was awful, together with the laundry.

Iā€™ve only just been able to rotate but Iā€™m trying a new brand of FFP3 so have been airing these ones first as I think I reacted mildly straight out of the packet and canā€™t afford to ditch them.

I still remember one awful 24 hrs of the vomits from child 2 only to look at child 1 and see his hair moving.

And regular nits.

One piece I read recently said to remove the mask from the plastic wrapper before use. I have not been doing this so am now trying it. #MCAS is so hard to fathom so I hope you get some relief.
