4 - Rune Factory 3 We all know I'm a fan of the whole series and this is the one that started it for me. Rented it on a whim and fell in love. Now I'm struggling to finish RF5 before I actually go PLAY 3S, hopefully both before Guardians of Azuma comes out!
3 - Hollow Knight it was when i played this that i realized metroidvanias were one of my favorite genres. god i fuck with metroidvanias so hard silksong fucking WHERE THOUGH
2 - Tales of Symphonia i hope y'all didn't think this list wasn't going to include my goat Tales of Symphonia was my entry into the Tales series, and it's the only JRPG I've played over two dozen times start to finish. It definitely shows its age, but for me it still holds up strong.
