Extra Fun Fact: Last summer, I was driving to a site we were working at. A coworker in her 30s was in the truck with me. The last song to play was that. This coworker was... annoying. One thing she'd do was mumble as though no one could hear her. When we parked and got out of the truck...

Fun fact: I'm an old fart when it comes to some aspects of technology. I don't like streaming because it gives me less control over my music. I say this because... I have itunes data for music I listen to. Though the date added is wrong—that's the day I fucked up with the library file.

A screenshot from iTunes, showing the song "Do You Hear The People Sing?" from Les Misérables. Reading the table in the screenshot, you can see that I have listened to it 277 times.

But yes, some of us did sing songs from Les Mis just randomly—often at lunch, which we ate in the drama room. No, we probably weren't any good.

The next year's production was of an existing Sherlock Holmes script, which was a lot less work in a lot of ways—a 120-page script was a hell of a thing for high school students and one drama teacher to pull off. Curse these character limits—next paragraph gets its own not-a-tweet

It was. I just remembered that there was even a fog machine! I only remember it being used for barricade stuff, but I was kind of focussed on my roles. I have a recording of it on CD. Never watched it—won't for a while longer, because... video of pre-trans me isn't an appealing prospect right now 🤷‍♀️

It was a really good adaptation. It was a massive effort, too—twenty-something of us playing 80-something characters over the course of, like, 2-3 hours. I assume it was pretty damn good for a high school play. My memory's a bit fuzzy, though. I played like 13 different characters.

We actually did a *non-musical* Les Mis in grade 11 (which oh my god was ten years ago). The drama teacher wrote her own 120+ page adaptation of the book.

I can’t have a bird as anything more than a derivative financial instrument, as my cat would not like it

A picture of me with my cat, Domino, in my lap. I am wearing a shirt for the Falcon Flyers, the Dubai Junior League Hockey Champions in 2001. Domino is looking at me lovingly.

You posted a bit about Baldur’s Gate. There are a lot of books written in that same setting.

Don’t forget the (very hard to find) birch beer. It’s like Root Beer 2.0.
