So far, the Halloween costume the child seems most drawn to is an enormous bodysuit of Chili, the mom from Bluey, which is meant for adults.

God has abandoned us, and on the way out the door, he said, “You wanna see what embalming fluid would taste like if you steeped Oreos in it?”

Oreo flavored Coke Zero for some reason (why did I buy this? I don’t value my money or life.)

As I age, everyone younger than me becomes either 17 or 33, and I remain a rough contemporary of all of them.

My official review of The Wild Robot is that if someone had told me HAVING A CHILD would make me CRY AT MOVIES more readily, I would have STILL PROBABLY HAD THE CHILD but possibly CHOSEN TO GO TO THE MOVIES LESS.

One thing I love about the first season of Bluey is that there will routinely be episodes that just sort of peter out, no larger moral reached, and the show is just, like, "Yeah, sometimes when you have kids, you just kinda lose the thread," and it WORKS. Genius TV program.

Need some good mystery novel recommendations, especially stories about powerful families with dark secrets, legacies of abuse, etc. Ideally with several points of view.

(Basically all criticism that takes as its starting point “the wrong people like this” ends up here, regardless of political persuasion. Like this is Sasha Stone’s entire m.o. now.)
