Dear god, I read one of her recent pieces and aside from not knowing that the phrase is “dire straits” not “straights”, she actually thinks movies prior to the last 20 years were apolitical and universally appreciated citing… Chinatown and Casablanca.

I had not heard that name but I looked her up and good gravy
