I think there is something inherently stressful about having our time wasted - especially when time is already squeezed.
So I had a go a while back at a framework for choosing texts in English - still many questions but helps to balance the lack of diversity.
Could you give an example of where this is going wrong?
Any English teachers willing to give it a try?
Maybe it's back to what we were discussing here yesterday about tame and wicked problems? It is not just leaders in schools who might focus less on the wicked ones. . .

Interesting... A lot gets shouted about issues with accountability on teacher stress and retention but where is the national pressure to reform pupil behaviour and admin tasks? It appears this might be a much bigger issue. Via @teachertapp.bsky.social
