Estimates range from 20k in SF (cruise + Michigan + VTTI study) to about 100k (just dividing total miles driven by crashes)
Looks like my 5-to-1 city_crash_rate to total_crash_rate guestimate was spot on. So yeah, two orders of magnitude improvement needed to match humans unsupervised.
