repudiated Christian Zionism, reaffirmed the Church's hope for a two-state solution in Israel and Palestine, called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, urged the US to play a major role in rebuilding Gaza, gave guiding documents to the Church about interreligious relations,

welcomed the new dioceses of Wisconsin and the Great Lakes, took action to make the CPG health plan more affordable and equitable, made the changes necessary for liturgical reform in the church, authorized alternative liturgies for Good Friday to address antisemitism in the text,

strengthened our non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ clergy in conservative dioceses, took the first step to add our same-gender marriage rites to the Book of Common Prayer and the Catechism, created a Creation Care loan fund for local congregations,

revised and improved the disciplinary process for clergy and bishops, limited the use of NDAs in cases of clergy misconduct, provided a model anti-harassment policy to the Church, directed the creation of a policy on equity and justice in hiring for Church employment,

In the days after #gc81, it is easy to forget what we accomplished in our time working together. There are far too many things to list, but let's look at just a few:

taken action to make our health plan more equitable, made a multitude of improvements to the disciplinary process for clergy/bishops, and made bold statements about the war in Gaza and the oppression of Palestinians. There is still much work before us, but the work of the Church is moving forward.

I know it is hard to remember in the middle of the long slough through the legislative calendar, but #gc81 has already done so much. We have elected a new presiding bishop, re-elected our first Latina PHoD, amended our constitution to make liturgical revision possible, (cont.)
