Norway has one of the lowest crash death rates in the world, with fatalities dropping ~50% in the last decade. I asked a senior Norwegian transportation official what role car technology has played enhancing safety. Her answer: "None. We focus on road design and enforcement."

Kind of amazed by all the people here who think we're anywhere near expropriating housing in a country that barely affords you any social services whatsoever. I'm no centrist, but what coalition is currently possible should surely play a role in where you channel your energies.

I'm all for student debt relief but if I had to choose between that and free childcare the choice would be easy. The latter would also benefit a larger and more diverse population.
