I can understand nervousness and feeling under pressure in those interviews, but having to have your office make a statement that she did indeed sell her car because her mortgage had doubled, after changing the story mid-interview is just ridiculous.
I did ponder if I am being too harsh in that respect but I really donāt think so as someone who also has it (ADHD). I think she has some positive attributes, and she has certainly been unfairly targeted at times, but she really fumbled on the basics there.
I am trying to be supportive of Tory Whanau as mayor but tbh that interview with Jack Tame this morning did not inspire any confidence. Iām not sold on voting for her again, unfortunately.

Been wanting to try that place but itās impossible for me to get to by public transport. Would happily pay your mileage to deliver to me should you go again!
Iām re-reading Sir Robert Martinās biography, having got a copy recently, and Iām so thankful that @johnmcrae.bsky.social wrote it. An extraordinary man. Wonderful colleague. I only wish there was more time to laugh with and learn from Robert. We didnāt meet often but I laughed and learned a lot.
Exactly.
Yes. Itās literally a full time job.
Disabled people are expected to do so much free, invisible labour managing their daily supports. A friend has been trying to recruit support workers for months; Iām staying with her this week and going through applications, over 900 on Seek & 90% are absolute crap. She should be paid but isnāt ofc.
