If it was applying an actuarial table maybe. But I doubt all "unhealthy" groups are treated the same. I don't know for sure, but based on what I know of the UK infertility system I'd suspect they arent. Are other groups who are more likely to get sick, eg the poor or minorities, treated similarly?
It's so complex. And yeah there are/were lots of bad actors. I don't know the solution tbh, just stating my limited experience interacting with the system.
If this is how you view all fat people that just makes me sad. Why don't we deserve to be good loving parents if we want to be?
They do for infertility treatment too. Which is just eugenics.
Yup. I'm too fat to adopt from Korea. Statistically you probably are too.
When we went to an adoption info session the take away was basically that international adopting were very hard. Lots of places only place sibling groups of 3+ or special needs kids. Additionally places like S Korea have restrictions(like BMI of parents) that make it harder too.
Well I learned 2 fun things today. Our home alarm is too quiet to wake us up upstiars(why is there even a volume setting on this?). Kiddo 1 can for sure unlock and open the front door independently. It's good but fuck me that's a hell of a scary wake up.
Excited to see what little number yall get this week.
Ole Miss girlies you should be used to being let down by a guy named Caden
