Generally, sure, though the most recent "uncomfortable truth" post I read in full was a long-form essay from an atheist friend on how in the 1800s the people who were right on race were right for religious reasons, and the "scientific" approach is now recognized as having been horribly racist.

I guess the difference is whether the writer is writing things that they themselves find uncomfortable or is writing things that they find quite comfortable in an effort to make others uncomfortable.
