I’ve been here with the a topwater frog for about two hours around the lake and haven’t gotten a single bite.Debating on trying a soft plastic worm but there so many lily pads/plants in the water I’m not sure I’d be able to retrieve without getting stuck, even if it was texas rigged haha.Posted by JeffAnthonyLajoie

I see several fish in this pool of creek water that weren’t interested in my rooster tail or swirly tail at all. Anybody know what they could be or how to catch them? I saw a big carp and some smallmouth a little further up stream.Posted by mycoG21

Since picking up fly fishing in late June and getting skunked nearly every weekend since. I had the time of my life yesterday. In 2 hours on an MN creek I landed 15 brown trout anywhere from 12” to no bigger than my pinky finger. I or obably lost another 10 too from bad hooksets. It was some of the most serene and incredible fishing of my entire life. If I wasn’t catching them they were rising left and right. It felt like I was panfishing. I didn’t even have to move, they were just stacked up in one spot
