Simply platforming right-wing activists via interviews can increase public support for right-wing views and perceptions of the popularity of such views. Really cool use of audio as a stimulus by @dianebolet.bsky.social@florianfoos.bsky.socialosf.io/preprints/so...

Very excited that one of my first-authored PhD papers is now conditionally accepted at the JOP! 🥳Through a digital field experiment in collab. with a political party, we test what identity primes mobilise supporters. 👉Going negative is mobilising but has drawbacks! #identity#campaigns#experiment

If you like pre-registered field experiments that manipulate identity primes & rely on validated behavioural outcome measures (💰), then you will likely enjoy this new (conditionally accepted at JOP) paper with the fantastic @katharinalawall.bsky.social@florianfoos.bsky.socialosf.io/p93kq

Does prolonged contact with migrants during wartime affect locals' attitudes towards them? In a forthcoming AJPS with Yang-Yang Zhou, we find no change in views despite up to 6 months of daily classroom contact b/t locals & migrants in Kandahar City, Afghanistan polisky

I’ve come to expect bad transport services in most countries, so whenever sth works I’m in a slight state of shock.
