Met my partner's brothers today for Thanksgiving, his parents took us out to dinner at an inn, it was pretty good and they were pretty chill <3 Also played Spirit Island on tabletop simulator with a friend. Lot of information at first, but think i got the hang of it <3
Honestly, all i want to say on it, really. Just really affirming for myself that i did the right thing by walking. So i guess i should thank them for the confirmation.
You're also allowed to be upset for the way how someone treated you and to express your trauma. Talking about it and sharing your experiences is okay. People can make their own judgments, but that doesn't mean you should have to put up with them anymore.
A lot of the times when someone you've gone NC with trys and contacts you, it's about control. Especially when there's no apologies or sincerity to it. It's wanting to not own up to how they treated you, and try to make you the bad guy for walking away from it.
Got a nice reminder today of why It's important to have self respect and leave people who treat you badly. <3 Don't put up with people who make you uncomfortable! You don't owe an explanation to them either.
Had d&d and made a turkey for Thanksgiving weekend, so just relaxing with some tea and reading ๐ต ๐
Been working on getting my basement organized (still wip!) And making it cozy <3 A place to relax, watch stuff, work on stuff or art or crafting :3 The carpet will someday be replaced!
